Alert Best Practices
Start Conservative
Begin with fewer, higher-threshold alerts:
- Score changes of 10+ points
- Major sentiment shifts only
- Review and refine over time
Don’t Over-Alert
Too many alerts leads to alert fatigue. Focus on:
- Actionable changes you’ll respond to
- Significant shifts, not normal variation
- Critical domains first
Review and Adjust
Monthly, review your alerts:
- Are you getting too many/few notifications?
- Are thresholds set appropriately?
- Should you add alerts for new domains?
Alert Limits by Plan
| Feature | Standard | Professional |
|---|---|---|
| Alerts per domain | 3 | 10 |
| Alert types | All | All |
| Email frequency | All options | All options |
Troubleshooting
Not receiving alert emails
- Check spam/junk folder
- Verify email address in Settings
- Ensure alerts are enabled (not toggled off)
- Check notification preferences aren’t set to “None”
Getting too many alerts
- Increase threshold values
- Switch to digest delivery
- Disable low-priority alerts
- Focus on fewer, more important domains
Alert triggered but nothing changed
Small fluctuations are normal. If you’re seeing:
- Minor score changes: Increase threshold
- Sentiment wobbles: Normal AI variation
- False positives: Review alert configuration
